Are Our Kids Active Enough? I have admit that I had no idea what the “official guidelines” were for the level of activity in children. I always just imagined the more the merrier and quite frankly that is how I feel it should be, but nowadays we really need to be talking and thinking about the minimum level of activity since studies are showing worrying trends in childhood obesity. Just one peek at the World Health Organisation (WHO) website is enough to send you running for the treadmill, children in hand.

At €9,90 from DM, the Glov® is a wonderful little present to give to people who like to help mother nature a little in the way of make-up. Here are five reasons why this should be in every mum’s stocking this year:
Oktoberferien sind fast vorbei, aber Belantis – in der nähe von Leipzig – will mit einem Halloween Spektakel einen tollen Abschied geben. Wir von Mama Chic waren gestern für euch da, um alles genau unter die Lupe zu nehmen. Hier ist unser Schnell Check review. Wir haben alles mit Sternen bewertet (1-Mist 5-Chic)
What is it? I’d love to write that I smashed this like a mum BOSS, but actually if it had not been for the support of a bestie and some ibuprofen, I would have crumbled within an hour. First things first, what on earth is a parent blogger cafe?
Working within a strict budget now we have two children means more than ever that I put my needs last, which sometimes means I walk around looking a little well-worn! I try my best, but years of snot wiping and baby vomit, (not to mention a changing body shape) can really take their toll on my clothes. This is why I was curious about the (potentially cringe-worthy) clothes swap my friend was hosting. It was also a chance to get rid of some of the bad buys lurking in the back of the wardrobe and give up some of the „probably never again“ clothes I was holding onto and which glared at me guiltily everytime my mum-bod gazed at them.
I know, there are apparently two types of people when it comes to Christmas and all that. I actually think that is a lie. I am the kind who knows that it is inevitable but somehow still seems to be behind every single year. So this year my aim is to prepare for Christmas without even really putting any effort into preparing. Will it work? Who knows! So what am I going to do?
A few months ago I entered a competition where you had to write down your favorite „Me Time“ rituals to win some bath products. I just sat staring at the computer trying to think of something more inspiring than maybe my morning shower which, if I’m being honest, is not always alone. Sometimes a one-year-old accompanies me into the bathroom and spends her time loading things into the washing machine, or the six-year-old comes and hangs out while I shower and brushes her teeth. Or my husband waits impatiently for me to finish by already holding out a towel for me while the shampoo is still being washed out. Me time. What a crazy illusion this is for most people with small children. But we are constantly told that it is something all mums should aspire to. Even this stresses me out sometimes! Pressure to relax, how absurd.
I’m not one to pass up on a challenge, which is a blessing and a curse! So when MAM® sent me a packet of Cornflower seeds and a challenge to do something environmentally friendly with them for the „Grow With Mam“ challenge, then I couldn’t refuse.
Time is something I don’t have enough of but still I have to come up with some ways of trying to incorporate things I would like to do into my daily schedule and five minutes is pretty much all they are going to get right now! Of course I want to share these ideas with all other busy parents out there.
